The National Pony Society are excited to announce the Shows that will be holding 2016 NPS/ NAF M&M Working Hunter Pony Longines Royal International Horse Show Qualifiers
The NPS/NAF M&M WHP RIHS Championship
this year has been split into 4 height classes as below. The
large class does not specify an upper height limit, but your pony must
fall within the Breed Society specified height range. JMB
certificates will be required for every pony entering the final.
4 HEIGHT CLASSES
Class 1 – Ponies not exceeding 122cms
Class 2 – Ponies exceeding 122cms not exceeding 133cms
Class 3 – Ponies exceeding 133cms not exceeding 143cms
Class 4 – Ponies exceeding 143cms
Class 1 – Min 55cms Max 70cms
Heights at the final will increase by 5cms in all classes.
Class 2 – Min 65cms Max 80cms
Class 3 – Min 75cms Max 90cms
Class 4 – Min 85cms Max 100cms
Although, in the interests of safety, artificial water splashes have been
removed from qualifying rounds, there will be a water splash at the Hickstead final.
It is therefore up to competitors to introduce their ponies to this type of
obstacle before competing in the final, as ponies without adequate training
may well be unsure of tackling a water splash. Competitors should note that
this is a competition for Working Hunter Ponies and take into consideration
that they will be faced with a diverse and challenging course.
