NPS JUDGES ASSESSMENT
Candidate judges who fail assessment for the same panel twice may not return for assessment for that panel within three years.
It is highly recommended that you list any shows in which you have
had stewarding experience on your CV. It is also highly recommended that candidates applying
for the Mountain and Moorland Panel attend a minimum of 50% of the
Breed Events before sending in their application, (this can include
events such as breed study days and breed shows, or shows holding
specific breed sections) and the remaining 50% should be attended
during the probation period. It is recommended that candidates
study the sections with a recognised Breed Judge who should sign
the Breed Event Record Card* as proof of attendance. Do ensure
that when observing Welsh Breed Classes, the Judges on the panel are
relevant to the class being Judged, (i.e. A, B, C or D).
Please contact the Breed Societies for their event dates and Native
Breed Society Judges Panels (this information should also be on the
individual Breed Society's Websites).
Please complete the application forms and send them to the office along with a copy of the Breed Event Record Card (M&M candidates only) if you would like to be considered as a candidate before the closing date. The Proposer and Seconder Questionnaires should be forwarded to your Proposer and Seconder, along with copies of your CV. The cost of the assessment if £75.00. A non-refundable deposit of £10.00 is payable with the completed Application Form and CV (send a cheque payable to the NPS or telephone the office with card details) and the remaining £65.00 is payable when approval is given for assessment. Applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.
